We are open Monday to  Friday from 8:00am ro 4:30pm.
If you want to leave your car out of these hours then please call and leave a message and leave your keys with the friendly people at the BP Service Station which is in our building.

Yes. We can prepare an official WINZ Quote for customers applying for Work and Income support with the cost of vehicle repairs or servicing. Just call us or bring your vehicle in and we’ll provide a detailed written estimate for your application..

Do you service Electric Vehicles (EVs)?

Yes. Defiinitely. We have EV Certified technicians who have the New Zealand Certificate in Electric Vehicle Automotive Engineering (Level 5).

Can any mechanic service an electric vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Not all mechanics are trained to work on electric vehicles. EVs use high-voltage systems and specialised components that require the right knowledge and safety procedures. At Sawyers Arms Automotive, your EV is serviced by a technician with a New Zealand Certificate in Electric Vehicle Automotive Engineering (Level 5), giving you confidence your vehicle is in capable hands.

We also carry out diagnostic checks and inspect key electrical components where appropriate. Because EVs use regenerative braking, wear patterns are different, so servicing is tailored specifically to suit electric vehicles.

Can you give me an estimate?

Yes. We are more than happy to do estimates, please make sure you have your vehicle registration details (number plate) so we can get this done efficiently for you.

Can you do my WoF Repairs even if you didn’t do my WoF Inspection?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You will need to take your vehicle back to the place that did the inspection to have it  re-checked after the repairs have been completed.

Do I need to book in for a WoF?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We run on a booking system. A WoF inspection generally takes 30 minutes and you are more than welcome to wait while it is done.

Can I pay off my repairs?

We require full payment at the time you collect your vehicle.
